Earning Extra as an Audiologist

People who are working in all types of different careers are struggling financially because of the recession. Even people who work in lucrative careers, such as audiology, may need to look at ways to supplement their income.

Some ways that an audiologist could earn a little bit of extra cash might include:

  • Doing private work as well as working for a company. A combination of your own patients and the patients of a larger company could help to make ends meet until the recession ends.
  • Writing about audiology work. Audiologists could write journal articles or articles that might be sold to magazines for a little bit of extra cash.
  • Endorsing products. Writing positive hearing aids reviews is one example of how an audiologist might get solicited to do endorsements.
  • Inventing new products. If you can come up with a new way to solve a problem in your field then you can sell products associated with that and make a difference to the industry at the same time. New hearing tests or hearing aids would be a great invention for an audiologist.
  • Selling unneeded equipment. If you are working less then you may have equipment that you can sell to hold you over financially until times get better.

Get creative and you can make some extra money no matter what you job title is.
