Buy C7 Lights for Kids’ Rooms

Are you looking for an inexpensive, fun project to brighten up your child’s room for the summer? Although you wouldn’t normally think about Christmas in the summer, you may want to consider exactly that because big colorful Christmas lights could be a great addition to your child’s room.
The kind of lights that you want to get are called C7 bulbs. These are battery Christmas lights that are large in size. They are typically multi-colored; a string would include blue, red, orange, green etc. These are the largest Christmas lights that you can buy for indoor use.
You can do a few different things to use these in decorating your child’s room. A great idea is to allow your kids to draw on the wall with chalk. Have them draw a big, simple design that can then be outlined using the lights. A sun or a simple house are examples of such drawings. Then hang the lights up on the outline. This makes a great design.
Alternatively, use the lights to create a summer reading area. Kids often do a lot of reading during these months. Designate a corner of the room for that and then hang a bunch of these lights up over that corner. This provides a bit of reading light and a lot of fun for the area.

This is a great idea for nightlights for a kid’s room, especially if your kid is still afraid of the dark. Fun idea!

I this is such a cute idea. I like anything though that will get my boys reading. If it takes putting up Christmas lights, I’ll do it.

Does anyone know if you can find lights like this shaped like a flying saucer or rocket-shaped spaceships? I’d love to do my son’s room in an outer space theme since he’s gaga about space.

I used these lights in my daughter’s bedroom. Now that I have the decorations up, she’s not afraid to go to bed by herself at night. She doesn’t mind the constant illumination and sleeps right through it.

Actually, decorating your kid’s room with C7 Christmas lights is a great idea if you don’t have a lot of money for furniture. It can cover up the fact that the room is kind of bare. Kids can’t tell the difference. They just think it’s fun.

Even if you can’t find the right shapes or designs that you’re looking for for your kid’s room, you can always create those shapes from stings of C7 lights.
