I know everyone has their own Christmas traditions, but I’ve always had questions about Christmas trees. I never know when to put them up or to take them down. As someone who works in retail, it seems like the holidays start earlier and end later than ever before.

So when do you put your Christmas tree up? I know a lot of people think the holiday season starts the day after Thanksgiving, but that seems a little early to me. In the past, I’ve always put the tree up about two weeks before Christmas. But every time someone comes over before that, they always question why my tree and battery Christmas lights aren’t up yet. So, maybe I really should start putting it up after Thanksgiving. What do you think? 

Also, when do you take your tree down? It seems a bit hasty to take it down the day after Christmas, but that is when Christmas is technically over. The other obvious option seems to be to leave the tree up until New Year’s since that’s still technically part of the holiday season.

So, please share your tips with me. I need a little clarification so that I can follow the proper protocol.
