Recently my husband and I seriously started considering a piece of horse property here in town.  My dream is to be able to keep my horse in my backyard, so this property is kind of like my own little piece of dream-come-true.

Of course, buying it means that we’ll have to rent our current home for a while.  Becoming landlords makes me a bit nervous, because I worry about having to evict a tenant or repair damage to the property.

It’ll also mean that we’ll have less money to spend on stuff like vacations, so things like that Fiji adventure vacation we were planning will have to be put off for a little while longer.  We may also  have to watch our money a bit more in going out to eat, and other entertainment costs like that.

But I don’t mind any of that.  I’ll have all the vacation I need in my backyard!  I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to walk out my back door and see my horse any time I wanted.  To go for a quick ride without having to drive out to the boarding stables.  Really, I can’t imagine anything more vacation-like that that!
