I am throwing a baby shower for my best friend of seven years.  She is pregnant with twins and extremely excited.  I’ve never planned a baby shower before so this is a new experience.  People have already been asking what they should buy and I am recommending baby nursery bedding.  Certainly with twins a new mom can never have enough crib bedding.  Babies spit up and diapers leak so changing bedding is commonplace.

I am also recommending lots and lots of clothing, bibs, nooks, boppies, and all kinds of other items that have crazy names.  My friend has decided to use cloth diapers but I don’t know if that is something I would recommend as a gift.

I am trying to think of fun games to play at the shower.  One friend recommended putting twenty or more items in a diaper bag and then showing everyone the inside of the bag for only one minute.  After the viewing, everyone has another minute to list what they saw.  Whoever can name the most items wins the game.   Another fun idea I saw in Parents magazine is to ask everyone to bring their own baby photo.  I’ll hang all the photos in one area and then we can try to guess who is who.
