If you take a walk through almost any store today, you are going to see that there are school supplies for sale on the shelves. I wish that they would take them off of the shelves for just a little while longer! Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t have any problems with discount school supplies. I’m a big fan of them myself even though my school days are done since I use a lot of them around the office. I’m just not quite ready for summer to be over yet!

It seems like it was just May and I couldn’t believe that Fourth of July items were for sale in the stores already. Now the Fourth of July feels like it was forever ago and we’re all getting ready to wrap up our summer vacations and move on with the rest of the year. Before you know it, the school supplies will be off of the shelves and we’ll see Halloween costumes going up for sale.

I guess that there’s nothing that we can do about time passing. But it seems like it goes even more quickly than it needs to when the stores are putting their seasonal things up for the year. Yes, of course we need to start buying things in advance of the time that we actually need them. But it makes it feel like the calendar is just rushing past too quickly.
