What To Do With Old CPAP Machines

We are living in an era when everyone is conscious of the importance of being kind to the earth. We recycle many items in our homes and even go out of our way to recycle electronics and other large items. However, there are some things that we just don’t know how to properly deal with when we are done using them.
For example, let’s say that someone in your home had a problem with sleep apnea and had to use a sleep apnea machine or bipap to deal with the problem. Once the problem is solved or the individual moves out, what are you supposed to do with the equipment? After all, it’s not like there’s a place that recycles CPAP machines in your neighborhood.
When you come across problems like this, you should consult the experts who deal with this equipment on a regular basis. For example, you may ask the doctor who recommended the sleep apnea machine what people normally do with it when they’re done using it. Or you could call a CPAP supply store and ask them the same question.
In this case, the best option may be to donate the equipment to someone else who needs it. Re-use is even better than recycling! Ask a doctor about the cleaning procedures that are necessary before passing on an item like this.
