When someone talks about an Airsoft gun, it used to be that there were only a couple of different things they could be talking about. People who liked to operate and play with such toy guns had only a few things to choose from and the market for this type of thing was not really big at all. Things have certainly changed in that regard, as these days you can pick up varied guns like the Echo1 Airsoft and KWA guns. The fact of the matter is that over the last ten years, more and more companies have come into play and they have brought with them a new design and new marketing techniques.

In the past, people like these guns to come in handgun form. That was pretty much all there was to offer and people did not ask or demand more out of the industry. Over time, the gun manufacturers figured out that they could do much better in the market if they came up with new, innovative designs. While handguns used to be the cool new thing in the toy gun market, people have come to enjoy the military aspect of playing with these guns more and more. With that, there has come an influx of military guns flooding the market.
