I have been fishing for years, and unlike some of those fancy guys on TV, I like my Mercruiser stern drive to get me to the bass.  I have had the same motor for 12 years, and have only had to get Mercruiser parts on a few occasions.  I like the way it feels as I control it.  When I’m in my fishing boat, I’m looking to be outdoors, work, play, fish, eat, and not feel like I’m driving a Lexus.  Fishing is a serious game with my friends and me.  Bass is not a hobby.

On weeknights, a couple of the guys come over to help out with the boat.  I’m the one who owns it, and they don’t have one, so they line up to see who I will take in the upcoming weekend.  We have three good bass lakes with 30 minutes of our town, and most of the guys have their favorites.  One of them works at a marine parts place, and makes sure we have what we need for routine maintenance.  The other guys are busy bringing me some cool new marine accessories to make the boat more livable, and to enhance their image when it comes to picking the weekend fishing crew.
