Getting the Right Guns to Kids
By Sojourner in Sports | 0 comments
Although they were once made to shoot birds, the Airsoft gun is now used more often to practice shooting without the dangers of live bullets. These guns are made to be non-lethal, so there is far less risk and it allows these kids to do some target practice without worrying about what might happen to the stray bullet.
Whatever it takes to get these kids outside right?
Although semi-automatics exist, the best guns for younger kids are going to be Airsoft sniper rifles and Tokyo Marui pistols. The sniper rifles will help these kids practice aiming, while the pistols are simply better for horsing around. Semi-automatics tend to be neither, as they often spray bullets wildly (because they can be difficult to aim) or fire too many bullets for any fun games to be played.
Older kids may enjoy semi-automatics, as they are still top of the line Airsoft guns, but the younger kids that are new to the BB world are going to want a gun that they can do something with. With the sniper rifles, they get a chance to aim from long distances, which is both fun and difficult (requiring quite a bit of practice). And a pistol can be used for more interesting games, like target practice from up close, where aiming is still important and BB’s aren’t sprayed across the yard.
