The Trek

Lately, I have been looking into satellite internet service. I’m going to make a year long trek around the world, and need to have reliable Internet from wherever I’m at. Since I’m a writer, I also need to have a laptop around for me to type on. It stinks, but I don’t think I’ll be able to depend on having high speed internet for a majority of the places I’m going to. I’ll be making use of hostels and family homes along the way. This will give me a good taste of the local culture, and hopefully allow me to learn some of the different languages.

I’ll first start in India, and then move east. I’m going to try and hit as many countries as I can in that time period, and write about each new experience along the way. I haven’t thought of any real core story I want to tell, but I’m sure things will work out along the way. I know for one, it will be an amazing trip that I’ll learn so much on. I just know that I will have to sacrifice a bit of the normalcy of every day life. In the end, I think it will be a very positive experience.
