I love traveling to cities where the most popular attractions are all located close to each other. This makes it easy to see everything. It also makes it easier to figure out what hotel to stay at since you want to choose one that’s close to everything. San Antonio is that kind of city.

My preferred hotel there is the Rodeway Inn at Six Flags. This is obviously close to the Six Flags Amusement Park. It’s also close to a number of other places I love to visit in San Antonio including:

• The Zoo. The San Antonio Zoo isn’t quite as cool as the San Diego Zoo but it’s still a neat place to stop on a trip to the city. Plus it has an aquarium.
• The Riverwalk. My favorite San Antonio Attraction is this one. I love taking the little boat rides on the water and browsing through the shops here.
• The Alamo. Okay, so I’ll admit that I haven’t actually been to this famous attraction yet but I’m planning to go at some point.
• The University. The main reason I go to San Antonio is to see a friend of mine who is attending the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Staying at a hotel near one of these puts you at a hotel near all of them.
