I hadn’t ever heard of Tortola until I started looking into vacation deals for the summer. Now that I’ve learned about it, it’s a place that I’d really like to go. It’s the largest of the British Virgin Islands and everything about it sounds appealing.

Some of the things that make this seem like a great destination include:

• White sand beaches. I adore any destination that includes beautiful beaches made from white sand.
• Beach parties. In addition to all of the normal fun that you can have on the beach, this is apparently a great place to go to enjoy big beach parties on the sand.
• Swimming with dolphins. I’d love to swim with dolphins in Tortola or anywhere else for that matter!
• Cruise destination. This is a common destination for cruise ships and I’ve always wanted to take a cruise somewhere.
• Day spas. Many of the hotels at this destination offer great day spas to add to the overall relaxation afforded by the trip.

I don’t know if I’ll get the chance to go to Tortola anytime soon but it’s certainly on the list of places I’d like to see someday when I do get to travel more.
